As I'd mentioned earlier, if you are interested in creating a website, there are three approaches you could take: Hire someone to design it for you, buy an already built website or do it yourself.

I personally use Paint Shop Pro because I'm already used to it. There's Adobe Creative Suite 4 at the time of this writing, which is real good in enhancing your photos, too.
For animations, I suggest Animation Shop by Corel.
All in all, if you don't want to torture (LOL) yourself doing these things and you have the means, hire someone to build a website for you.
For those who want to learn and really into it, it's not easy but I tell you IT IS FUN!
